Small Blessings

As with many businesses, this is a time of much uncertainty, delayed projects and plans put on hold. Fortunately, here at OHBOY, we’ve also had opportunities to help our clients as they implement various initiatives to cope with these unusual times.

For example, when NUS switched to holding an e-open house rather than a physical one, we received several requests from various schools to produce content that could introduce their programmes to prospective students. Due to capacity constraints, we were not able to assist with every request, but one school that we did produce a video for was the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Working on an extremely tight deadline, the team put together a fun video FAQ which showcased 7 common questions and answers from the Dean of the faculty.

All in all, there were just 14 days in total between quotation and invoicing.

Another client which were able to assist was Muslim.sg, which is an online platform that connects Muslims with the Asatizah Youth Network (AYN), a group of millennial religious teachers who actively engage the Muslim community in Singapore. AYN conducts regular sharing sessions, one of which we filmed and translated into a short video that highlighted 5 ways to deal with the COVID-19 situation in Singapore, as discussed in the Islamic context. Beyond this, we also assisted in creating a video that conveyed the Muslim.sg community’s thanks to Singapore’s frontline workers.

While it remains impossible to predict how the next weeks, months and even years will play out, we are grateful to still have had new projects in the past 1 – 2 months, and remain cautiously optimistic that opportunities remain out there for us to assist our clients as we ride out these hard times together.
